Welcome to Dahl Class!

I hope everyone has had a fantastic summer holiday and is looking forward to Autumn Term.

Curriculum

In English this half-term our class text will be ‘Gorilla’ by Anthony Browne. We have already begun the year by making some exciting predictions about what the text will be about.

In Maths we are looking at Place Value.

Our Geography topic this half-term is ‘Our World’ where we practise applying our Geographical knowledge to the world around us.

In History lessons we will be learning all about life in the Stone Age.

Every Friday we are engaging in Ukulele lessons to support our musical development.

P.E.

Our P.E. day is Thursday and children can come to school in their kit on this day. Please ensure children have the correct P.E. kit on for these sessions and that all jewellery is removed prior to the lesson.

P.E. can be both inside and outside, so children should come dressed appropriately for the weather outside.

Homework

Homework will be released every Thursday and is due in the following Tuesday.

This will include spellings for a test on Thursdays with access to EdShed for further practice.
